This is a personal concept design project.
In book 1984, George Orwell suggested that utilitarian thinking makes us forget life is a journey toward truth. Inspired by this idea and my childhood memory of raising silkworms, The Dreaming Moth tells the story of a silkworm that breaks its cocoon too early and dies soon after—a metaphor for how the obsession with achievement can strip life of its meaning.
